Lauren Gerson Green told the council WBCP relies on a centralized marketing and talent-acquisition team to craft targeted outreach and candidate materials that reflect a community’s character. "We have a centralized marketing and communications team and a centralized talent acquisition team... we typically do about a one-month posting period," Lauren said, adding WBCP often uses community surveys and hybrid town halls to build the candidate profile.
Lauren said WBCP generally completes recruitments in about 12 weeks but can compress the timeline with planning adjustments; she flagged candidate concerns about a potentially flipped council after an election as a factor to address in contracts and outreach. Staff later confirmed the firm's founder, Wendy Brown, agreed to lead the recruitment if selected.
