At the July 14 meeting Julie Winter walked the committee through a package of CCS policy updates covering admission and intake procedures, service authorization language, referral processes, and vendor listings. The Admission Policy now highlights what is covered in participant intake, and authorization language ties meeting frequency to a person’s support level. Julie noted the "Vendor Listings were updated to reflect provider changes, including those who were added or removed. The formats were also updated to comply with accessibility requirements for the blind."
Members discussed a changed Program Referral Procedure in Ashland County that assigns Service Facilitators to handle follow-up coordination between referral submission and admission; Julie said this change does not apply to Bayfield County. The Contract Addendum was revised to clarify insurance requirements for family and group homes; Recruitment and Training policies were updated to reflect qualifying prior experience under DHS 36.
