The Pahrump Arena Advisory Committee voted Feb. 26 to forward three applicants to the Board of County Commissioners for appointment to the advisory board. Tawny Wald moved that “PAAC Board recommends approval of all three applicants (Michelle Chappel, Larry ‘Shane’ Chapman, Christena Cothery),” Darius Mann seconded, and the motion passed 5-0.
Robert Tibbits told the committee that Steve Pastorelli had resigned due to family obligations and plans to return in future years. Committee members recorded that there are three open seats (one vacant seat on the board and two alternate seats open). The committee continued the item on election of alternate positions until the BOCC reviews and decides on the applications.
