Putnam County honors Captain Corrinne Pitt for years of service

Putnam County’s Protective Services Committee on March 11 recognized Captain Corrinne Pitt with a proclamation signed by Legislative Chairman Birmingham and County Executive Byrne and a certificate read by Sheriff Brian Hess and signed by Governor Kathy Hochul. Chairman Regan invited Captain Pitt forward for the presentation during the meeting held in Carmel.
Captain Pitt accepted the honor and framed her work in public safety as a vocation, saying, "this is not just a job, but a vocation." She thanked the Legislature, Governor Kathy Hochul, Sheriff Anderson, Sheriff Smith, Sheriff Langley, Sheriff McConville, Sheriff Hess, and Undersheriff Menton for their support and recognition.
