State unveils 2026 Wellness Wallet pilot as Health Premium Credit participation rises

Office of Employee Health, Wellness, and Workers’ Compensation staff reported that 2,076 enrollment applications for the 2026 Wellness Wallet Pilot are being validated for eligibility. The pilot will run Jan. 5 through Dec. 15, 2026, and enrolled members are eligible to receive up to a $200 subsidy for eligible health, wellness and lifestyle expense reimbursements for calendar year 2026.
Staff said the Wellness Wallet outreach increased participation in the 2026 Health Premium Credit Program: more than 1,000 subscribers had completed the HPCP requirements earlier in the enrollment period, and by Nov. 17 there were 2,051 active primary subscribers who had completed the requirements. Communications for the pilot included postcards to active plan subscribers, email outreach to employees and website updates. A Flexible Spending Account open enrollment notice was also distributed in late October, and staff reminded members about contribution and rollover rules ahead of the plan year.
