Sara Servadio, Commissioner of Social Services, Mental Health & Youth Bureau, told the committee the requested amendment will pass mental-health state aid through to contracted provider agencies that deliver housing assistance and case management. "This is something done regularly throughout the year and that money being requested is being passed along to provider agencies," Servadio said.
Chairwoman Montgomery asked which agencies would receive the funding; Servadio responded the dollars are intended for housing and case management providers. Montgomery moved to pre-file the necessary resolution; Legislator Addonizio seconded and the motion passed unanimously at committee. The action was described as routine fiscal administration to support provider operations rather than a new county-run program.
