Senator Zimmer asked the chamber to welcome students and advisers from DeWitt Community School District, North Scott Community School District and the Northeast Community School District FFA chapter who were visiting the Senate gallery for Career and Technical Education Day. "Please give them a warm welcome," Zimmer said when introducing the groups.
Senator McClintock separately recognized Iowa Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), noting it equips "over 200,000 members in professional and career development," and introduced the 2025 Iowa FBLA Collegiate State Officer Team, naming Joyanna (vice president of communication), Nathan Nivenhoeven (state president), Jonathan Nivenhoeven (national president and state vice president) and Matthew Van Hefty (vice president of financial development). The presiding officer also welcomed the students to the chamber.
