Title is working on the title search and preparing the closing. We're on track for closing on August 11," staff member Anne said about Map 38 Lot 3.
The board debated asking prices for other properties and whether to counter or lower asking prices to encourage sales. After hearing two offers on Map 42 Lot 97 (one for $35,000 and another for $59,500), a board member moved to accept the higher offer. The motion was seconded and approved; the board directed staff to process closing documents and arrange the in-person closing on the announced date.
On other tax-acquired lots the board voted to reduce the asking price for lots 24-26 at Katy Circle to $45,000 to stimulate market interest and authorized the administrative paperwork to update listings. Board members discussed Saco River Corridor considerations for waterfront or corridor-protected lots and noted that the corridor body is advisory; permitting challenges may affect final usability.
