Sheila Bergman presented the Strong Bodies senior-fitness program and said it has been operating in Port Wing for two years. "Bergman has led the Strong Bodies program in Port Wing for two years," she told committee members, noting classes focus on strength, balance and social engagement and are offered both in person and virtually.
Bergman said sessions serve about 10–15 participants per session, use chair-based exercises and include warm-ups, targeted strength work and a stretching cool-down. She noted a physical therapist helps with program development and said most participants are in their 70s to 90s; organizers hope to expand Strong Bodies beyond Port Wing to serve more Bayfield County residents.
