At its Feb. 17 meeting, the Alliance City Board of Zoning Appeals recorded the following formal actions:
• Minutes: The board approved minutes from the Dec. 16, 2025 meeting (motion by Billy Ray, second Mike Aeling; unanimous).
• Appeal #26-001 (2541 Blenheim Ave.): Dimensional variance approved to permit a 30-by-40 garage where the 'Garage, Private' standard allows 24-by-36 (motion by Mike Aeling, second Jesus Mireles Quezada; unanimous).
• Appeal #26-002 (916 E. Patterson St.): Use variance approved to allow a barber shop in an R-1 zoned property that formerly had commercial status (motion by Brent Barnes, second Mike Aeling; unanimous). Planning Commission/site-plan review and parking/licensing requirements remain outstanding.
