Sevier County Board recognizes teachers and students; AF JROTC approved for two high schools

The minutes congratulate Cecilia Ogle of Gatlinburg-Pittman High School for receiving the SkillsUSA Outstanding Career and Technical Educator Award; Buddy Crass of Northview Academy for the Herbert Teacher of Excellence in Agriculture for the Eastern Tennessee region; and Kelly McNamara of Seymour High School for having a lesson plan published by IDEAL Citizenry.
The minutes also list numerous athletic honors across the district, including state championships and All‑State performances. Separately, the district was approved to host two Air Force Junior ROTC units — at Sevier County High School and Seymour High School — beginning in the 2026–27 school year.
