Council unanimously adopts ordinance banning yard waste on public roadways

Council approved an amendment to the yard-waste ordinance title (adding the word “leaves”) and then moved to suspend additional readings and adopt a new ordinance prohibiting the deposit of grass clippings, leaves and other yard-waste materials onto public roadways and sidewalks.
The ordinance passed on a 7–0 roll call and was filed as Ordinance 2025-43. The amendment motion to add “leaves” to the title passed by a 7–0 voice vote; the subsequent motion to suspend readings and adopt passed by roll call, 7–0.
