Northeastern State University received Board authorization to design, bid and award renovations to create two nursing skills and simulation laboratories on the Tahlequah campus, including purchase of essential equipment, with requested funding approval up to $800,000 (donation-sourced).
Regent Amy Anne Ford moved the motion and Regent Chuck Perry seconded; the motion was recorded as unanimously approved. Separately, the Board approved increasing the previously approved emergency flood repairs to the Mike Synar building (Muskogee campus) by $30,000 to complete repairs related to a Feb. 20, 2025 incident in which a frozen fire-suppression line broke and flooded part of the building; the revised requested funding approval is $180,000.
