The Board of Regents approved a series of facilities payments and contract awards for East Central University during its Oct. 2 meeting.
Regent Amy Anne Ford moved a set of motions to allow payments and contract awards for Stadium Apartments work and an athletic facility renovation. The minutes record a motion to allow ECU to pay Bison Construction up to $345,600 to purchase and install new doors for Stadium Apartments and a separate motion to allow payment of up to $331,000 to purchase refrigerators and stoves for the same housing; both motions were unanimously approved.
A motion to award a contract to Clark Construction for up to $300,000 for additional Stadium Apartments work (lighting, cabinets, vent hoods and miscellaneous items) also passed unanimously. Separately, the Board approved a Clark Construction award of $1,551,167.24 to renovate and upgrade the Elvan George football locker room (new lockers, mechanical and roof replacements); the minutes note the funding source for that project is the ECU Foundation.
All East Central campus facilities motions were moved by Regent Amy Anne Ford and recorded as unanimously approved by the Regents in attendance.
