The Plano ISD Board of Trustees approved the consent agenda, a set of routine items grouped for a single vote, unanimously during its Jan. 20 meeting. Trustee Sam Johnson moved to approve the consent agenda and Vice President Nancy Humphrey seconded; the motion passed 7''0.
Following the vote, Assistant Superintendent Courtney Gober introduced Dr. Trami Tran as the district's new director of the Welcome and Enrollment Center. Gober said Tran joined Plano ISD 26 years ago and has served as a bilingual teacher, special education teacher, counselor, assistant principal and principal; most recently she was principal of Murphy Middle School. "Her knowledge, skills and advocacy for students and families will be a positive addition," Gober said.
Why it matters: The consent vote clears routine administrative business so trustees can focus on substantive items later in the meeting; the new director fills a districtwide operational role that oversees enrollment and family services for new families.
