David Miller told the McGill Town Council that he will redesign the handrail approach to the Kinnear Library steps to provide handrails on each side of the steps instead of a single center rail.
Miller said he will reach out to additional contractors in an effort to find a lower cost for the ADA accessibility improvement. The item remains listed as a carried-forward item; no contract award or budget appropriation was recorded in the minutes at this meeting.
The ADA accessibility update was presented as an interim design and cost-seeking step; the council did not approve a contractor or a funding allocation at the Jan. 20 meeting.
