The Rangely Town Council voted to approve a hotel-and-restaurant liquor license for Milindo Halisco LLC, a new restaurant at 35 Park Street. The council called a public hearing at 7:10 p.m.; the licensing agent reported completing an on-site inspection on the 17th and found no cause to deny the application. "I did inspect the premises last week, on the 17th, and, I didn't find anything that was concerning," the licensing agent said, describing functioning sinks, bar equipment and secure storage for alcohol.
The agent told the council the applicant submitted a petition with 72 signatures (46 of them local) and had a lease through the end of the year, and that patio use was included in the application. The Police Chief (Hamblin), not present, recommended issuance. The applicant's representative identified himself as "Oscar" and defered to the agent's report. After brief council discussion about a low north-side wall and the business's plan to operate primarily as a restaurant, the council moved, seconded and approved the license by voice vote; the chair declared the motion carried.
