Former officer thanks council for public-safety funding, urges support for community policing

She named chiefs Michael Denning and Tim Gauthier and said that experienced officers build rapport with residents and help identify at-risk youth and families.
Her remarks were supportive of the council's public-safety-focused budgeting approach and concluded with thanks to staff and first responders.
