Angie Patton Gale, owner of McCord Candies, asked the board to approve the Lafayette City Flea — an annual event held at McCord's Canyon — noting it has been successful in prior years and is planned for Sept. 5 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. "It's seen much success over the last couple years, so we just wanna keep it running," Patton Gale said, and told the board arrangements for street blockage and barricades have been made.
The chair moved to approve the special event request and the board approved it by voice vote. Patton Gale said the event will be concurrent with MOSI; the transcript does not elaborate on MOSI or whether additional city services (police, sanitation) were required or authorized.
