North Crowley Panthers honored for state championship; trustees praise academics and athletics

Greg Williams, the district’s athletics executive director, said the Panthers finished the season 36–4 with a perfect 12–0 district record. "The team's average margin of victory over the 6 playoff games were 16 points," he said, and the Panthers defeated San Antonio Brennan at the Alamo Dome to capture the state title. Trustees applauded the team's performance, noted that 10 of the 12 varsity players were named to the all‑district academic team, and invited the team and coaches to pose for photos with the board.
Coach remarks emphasized teamwork and gratitude for community support. Trustees said they will continue to celebrate the program at upcoming county and city recognition events.
