Crowley ISD outlines counseling services, community mental‑health partnerships and referral process

"All of the resources are accessible through our counseling services webpage," Lane said while demonstrating the district site and the community resources link. She outlined on‑site services from partners (Invicta Counseling), sliding‑scale options, educator supports and targeted group lessons delivered at selected middle and high schools.
Board members asked how homeless students coded under McKinney‑Vento are supported; Lane said the district’s homeless liaison (Misty Van Campen) and counseling staff work together to connect students to transitional housing and other emergency services. Lane also described how counselors coordinate 504 accommodations and collaborate with the team that monitors paperwork and compliance.
Trustees suggested more proactive outreach through ParentSquare, campus counseling corners and QR codes so families can privately access the resources. Lane and staff said they would increase communication and include counselor links in parent letters and orientation materials.
