Board presses to finalize updated employee handbook; insurer offers attorney review

Commissioner Bernard Myers told the board that the employee handbooks needed to be returned to the agenda for approval and "should not be put off any longer." Treasurer Colleen Camp said the insurance company attorney had previously reviewed a draft and that changes were made at that time.
Commissioner Jeff Rehkemper noted he thought the board was waiting on State's Attorney Dora Mann to review the handbooks. Kevin Kern offered that Snedeker provides a free review by its attorneys and "they would be happy to review again and add any updates needed." Chairman Chris Timmermann asked Camp to coordinate with Kern to complete the review.
