Chairman Chris Timmermann raised an email regarding dental insurance for county union employees during new business. Treasurer Colleen Camp said the proposed increase "would only be 42 cents per employee per month," and that the change would permit employees the option to receive composite fillings. Camp told the board the increase would begin Jan. 1, 2025 and that she could notify the insurance company of the county's agreement and place the item on the next board agenda for formal approval.
The minutes record this as discussion under new business; no formal vote was recorded on Dec. 17. The board did not finalize approval during the meeting and left the matter for a future agenda item where commissioners can vote.
