County Clerk Meg Sybert opened the Dec. 3 Bond County Board meeting and the board completed its organizational business, electing leadership for the term.
Jeff Rehkemper moved to nominate Chris Timmermann as chairman; Jacob Rayl seconded the motion. The board approved the nomination by roll call vote, 5 ayes, 0 nays. Later, Wes Pourchot moved to nominate Jacob Rayl as vice chairman; Bernard Myers seconded and the vote carried, 5 ayes, 0 nays. The minutes record both results as unanimous roll-call approvals.
The elections followed the swearing-in of re-elected members earlier in the meeting. The board also reviewed committee assignments and left existing appointments unchanged.
