Fair Board votes to solicit bids to run large food booth

The Wahkiakum County Fair Board approved a motion Jan. 14 to solicit bids from groups interested in running the large food concession building used during the fair. Daria moved that the board take bids; Tom seconded and the motion carried.
Members cited continuing problems with the group(s) that have run the concession in prior years, including issues with the ice machine. The motion directs the board to accept bids and choose the group it believes is best suited to operate the concession at next year’s fair.
