The Wahkiakum County Fair Board voted Jan. 14 to authorize up to $5,000 for purchases to support the annual crab feed. Becky moved the spending authorization for Diane to purchase crabs and oysters; Shelley seconded and the motion carried.
Board members reviewed logistics for the fundraiser, including raffle items and ticketing. "For the Guns we decided on the Creedmore and the .22 , all tickets will be $10 each," one member said, and members were reminded to "remember to buy their own tickets." The board also discussed volunteer needs and asked members to stay after the meeting to help set up tables. The motion approving the crab-feed purchase was carried without a recorded roll-call tally.
