Bond County board approves minutes, bills and fills multiple vacancies

The Bond County Board convened March 4 in Greenville and quickly handled routine business, approving the Feb. 18, 2025 minutes and the bills listed on the March 2, 2025 edit report by unanimous roll-call votes (5 ayes, 0 nays). Chairman Chris Timmermann opened the meeting at 7:00 p.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
The board made three formal appointments. Adam Boudouris was appointed as the P-COM for Bond County after a motion by Jacob Rayl and a second by Wes Pourchot (Roll Call Vote: 5 ayes, 0 nays). Zack Apple was appointed to the Keyesport Fire Protection District Board of Trustees for a three-year term ending April 30, 2028 (motion by Jeff Rehkemper, second by Wes Pourchot; Roll Call Vote: 5 ayes, 0 nays). Rachel Horihan was appointed to the Bond County Housing Authority Board for a five-year term set to expire March 3, 2030 (motion by Jeff Rehkemper, second by Jacob Rayl; Roll Call Vote: 5 ayes, 0 nays).
The board also announced an opening on the Public Building Commission following the resignation of Rex Catron; Jeff Gray expressed interest in that vacancy but no appointment was made at this meeting. The session adjourned at 7:21 p.m. on a unanimous vote.
