The DeWitt County Board approved multiple purchases and service contracts at its Nov. 21 meeting. The board accepted a Sourcewell quote to buy a Takeuchi TB260 mini excavator with brush cutter from Central Illinois Ag for $89,000 (funds available in the current budget) and approved a Seneca fuel-polishing service for $6,888.50. The Supervisor of Assessments office received approval for new flooring ($8,000) and furniture not to exceed $26,777.78.
Prestegaard said the excavator purchase was budgeted and that the board preferred a local vendor. Tilley moved to pay all bills and the board approved routine disbursements; motions to renew insurance and other vendor contracts also passed during the meeting.
