"The comprehensive plan update RFP is complete, and it should be posted Friday afternoon," Staff member (Speaker 3) said, and staff expects robust interest and proposals that include land-use planning and resident engagement.
Staff described plans to use the current comp plan as a baseline but update it to reflect recent changes and future expectations. Council members emphasized public input, recommending council committees, residents and business owners be included, and suggested forming a steering committee to guide the consultant selection and engagement process. The council asked staff to ensure public involvement and to provide regular updates as proposals and the consultant selection proceed.
