The state's been here. They recommended that we spray 4 days later. Hence, the Sunday night spraying again," the official said.
Officials explained there are numerous traps in the city and that the health department will provide public information; they stressed residents should remove standing water and avoid storing tires or other containers that collect rain. Staff also described spraying practice choices—timing, product selection and avoidance during flowering—to reduce harm to pollinators while trying to control the vector species caught in traps.
