Chair presses questions on Magcor's role in prison workforce training

"I am beyond frustrated with 7 years of not understanding where we're going," the chair said, adding that "that organization will need to justify its existence to remain an organization, in my opinion." Norman responded that he welcomes suggestions and said he will convey committee concerns to Magcor's executive director and board. He also emphasized making Magcor financially sustainable so it is not a cost to taxpayers.
The committee did not take formal action on policy oversight during the hearing; senators asked for follow-up information on membership and program results.
