Hamilton, who lives at 20 Post Office Road, said she and neighbors moved to Westport Island for peace and nature and asked the board to consider alternatives that would avoid placing the tower adjacent to homes.
"We cannot afford to lose 30% of our property," Hamilton said, asking the town to fully evaluate other locations and to require site‑specific evidence on access, foundations and well protection. Other nearby residents echoed her request for written documentation of easements, geotechnical studies and construction access before the board decides whether the application is complete for formal review.
