City staff recommends Rolling Suds for downtown pressure washing; sidewalk and deck pricing noted

Public Works staff recommended awarding the downtown pressure-washing contract to Varela Enterprises LLC, doing business as Rolling Suds of Central Arkansas, following an advertised solicitation that drew multiple bidders.
Ron Seabright said staff evaluated proposals and Rolling Suds was rated highest. He noted the sidewalk unit cost of about $13.05 is lower than past pricing (around $15) and that the parking-deck item totaled about $14,755. "So that'll be, washed once per year," Seabright said.
Seabright said the vendor is based in Conway. The recommendation was presented for review and will return for formal action at the Aug. 4 board meeting.
