Ron Seabright, public works director, told the board that an RFP for HVAC services was sent to four vendors and that four responses were received. Based on staff scoring, Comfort Systems USA was rated highest and is the recommended awardee for a one-year term contract with up to four optional 12-month renewals.
"Based on the rating and ranking by staff of the respondents, Comfort Systems USA was rated the highest," Seabright said. He noted a notice of intent to award was published and no protests were received. The item was presented for board review ahead of formal action on Aug. 4.
Board members confirmed the contract covers all city facilities and that Comfort Systems is the current provider; staff said the new contract will continue similar service with the stated renewal options.
