Fire chief seeks SAFER grant to reimburse city for nine hired firefighters

He summarized the city’s share of payroll across the three-year period — an estimated $908,522.79 — and described the grant as a reimbursement mechanism for an existing staffing investment.
Davis framed the item as part of the consent agenda for board consideration on Aug. 4; board members did not record objections during the review meeting and the item will return for formal action at the regular meeting.
