Karen Scott presented the June 2026 financial statements and briefed the board on the city’s recent accounting and billing software conversion.
"We successfully got everything balanced yesterday from New World into BSNA," Scott said, and added that utility-billing is up and running. She told the board that customers who used registered debit or credit cards for monthly autopay will need to reenroll in the new system and supply their payment information.
Scott said other departments that handle purchase orders and accounts payable are being brought online in phases; she told the board the conversion "so far... it's going well." Board members sought assurances about customer experience and about whether utility payments were retained automatically; Scott clarified that bank-draft payments that had been set to drop would have to be reestablished by customers if they used debit/credit autopay previously.
The financial statements for June 2026 were provided in the board packet for acknowledgement at the Aug. 4 meeting.
