Council orders report for $3.5 million in proposed 2027 street and utility improvements

Schleeman presented preliminary funding options (Clean Water Revolving Fund, Drinking Water Revolving Fund, PFA eligibility distinctions) and a high-level cost table; he said the total estimated cost for the identified areas is "about 3 just shy of 3,500,000" in the presentation. Council discussed priorities, MnDOT turnback reimbursement for Highway 59 frontage, geotechnical borings and technical approaches (subgrade correction, drain tile, cured-in-place pipe), and then approved resolution 2026-13 to authorize preparation of the project report so the city can pursue funding and call a public hearing if it moves forward.
