Tom Jordan, the city’s economic development consultant, told council the storefront improvement program is still accepting applications; one participant completed work but has not filed a final report, and a second potential applicant is considering applying.
"If you are a commercial business owner or tenant and want to participate in the program please contact him, the application is also online," Jordan said, describing the program's availability. He added that the Evergreen facility will soon become the Cimino Pallett facility, with roughly 20% of the building remaining available for rent and ongoing discussions with the pallet company about future plans. Jordan also said that after the third reading the CRA amendment package will be assembled and forwarded to the state for acknowledgement.
