Finance Director Tom Reynolds told council there was "one piece of legislation that he would ask be adopted this evening." He explained that "Resolution 60-2025 is a housekeeping matter that the county and state require us to approve since the voters approved the city’s renewal levies. We have to adopt each time a levy renewal is approved by the voters. The form is due to the county this week."
Council moved to suspend rules, waive the reading, and adopt Resolution 60-2025 in the same meeting; the motions passed by voice vote and were recorded as six ayes and zero nays on the adoption poll. The resolution certifies the amounts and rates determined by the budget commission and directs the clerk to file the certification with the county fiscal officer as required by state procedures.
