Summary

City Administrator Kim Rogers told the Friendsville Utility Board that the last areas for sewer completion were West Hill Ave. and Filo Ct., with about 13 homes left to hook up.
She said water-rehab funds already set aside for work on Front, Pine and Spring Streets could instead be used to bore under Highway 321 at Union Grove to loop the system and prevent large outages. "It would cost around $45,000," the minutes report; the administrator said the reallocation would still leave enough funds to rehab at least one of the other downtown streets.
Mayor Steven Cardwell and staff noted the need to remember remaining rehab during the board's upcoming budget workshop. No formal budget reallocation vote was recorded at the Feb. 5 meeting; the matter was presented as a staff recommendation for the budget workshop.
