Board honors Chalmette High robotics state champions and sponsors

Lindsey Cinez introduced the Chalmette High robotics team and described the group's accomplishments, including multiple state titles for team members and participation at national competitions. "These boys designed, built, and programmed a VEX robot from scratch with the guidance of our wonderful engineering teacher, doctor Gary Martinez," Cinez said.
Cinez and the board thanked corporate sponsors Valero and Shawmut Refinery for support that enabled travel and participation. The board presented a proclamation acknowledging the students and coaches and congratulated them for representing St. Bernard Parish at state and national levels. The recognition was ceremonial; no board vote was required.
