Christine Graesser, Chair of the Affordable Housing Task Force, said the Task Force will hold a public forum on March 27, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Avon Library to present background and solicit community input. She said FAQs will be posted to the Town website and provided as a handout at the forum, and that both the 1956 zoning map and the current zoning map will be available for comparison and to show the breakdown of zones for existing residential housing.
Ms. Graesser said she will serve as the forum facilitator and that David Fink will present a history of housing in Avon. Notices for the forum are posted on the Avon Library and Town websites; the Task Force has also shared information with the Avon Historical Society, the Lions Club and the Avon Chamber to promote attendance. The meeting packet lists the forum time as 7–8 p.m. and the Task Force encouraged attendees to visit the Task Force page on the Town website for materials.
