Board adopts Fiscal Year 2027–2032 Secondary Six‑Year Road Plan; Greenwood advanced

The Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted the Fiscal Year 2027–2032 Secondary Six‑Year Road Plan on May 11 and directed County Administration to transmit the plan to the Virginia Department of Transportation. The Plan incorporates county-funded segments recommended by the Secondary Roads Committee and the Construction Priority List for FY2026–27.
VDOT Resident Engineer Brad Rogers reported the Six‑Year Plan funding at "$600,456.00" during the Committee briefing. The Committee had recommended adding Crowder Road (County funding FY2030), Camp Road (FY2031), Hunter Alexander (FY2032), and advertising segments of Finneywood Road and Winston Road for FY2032 state funding. The Board also approved the Committee’s recommendation to advance Greenwood Road from FY29 to FY28 under the Commonwealth’s revenue-sharing mechanism.
