Traverse County agreed to split the cost 50/50 with Bois de Sioux Watershed for removal and relay of a double line of 138" RCPA on County Road 86, work treated as bridge-related. Highway Supervisor Brian Koch told the Board Bois de Sioux Watershed received a quote from John Riley Construction for $42,565.00; Commissioner Kayla Schmidt moved the cost-share, Commissioner Dwight Nelson seconded, and the Board approved the motion unanimously.
Koch described the repair as "an unbudgeted expense." The work will proceed per the department's bridge-update schedule and the County will coordinate with the watershed on payment and construction timing.
