"Wright received a quote from Brandon Communications for equipment and system setup in the amount of $96,883.85," the minutes record. Wright told the board that an ESChat interface was quoted at $5,330 (optional) and that integration of administrative phones would cost an additional $3,000–$4,000. He said NG911 grant funds of $37,060 (must be spent by June) and public safety funds of $68,293 are available to cover the purchase and asked the board for authority to use up to $105,353 for incidentals; the board approved the request and ability to spend up to $105,000 (motion by Chad Metz; second by Dwight Nelson).
The board’s vote was recorded as unanimous. The minutes show the county will proceed with vendor contracting and installation work with further details to follow in department procurement records.
