Commission recommends amended PUD-A plan for Iowa River Landing Parkview to reflect parking and public improvements

The Coralville City Planning & Zoning Commission on July 1 recommended approval of an amended PUD-A master development site plan for the Iowa River Landing Parkview Subdivision, a change staff said clarifies installed and planned parking and public improvements on the south side and Outlot B in advance of Lot 4 development.
James Kincaid, a civil engineer with Axiom Consultants, told the commission he "helped prepare the amended PUD-A site plan to assist the developer in moving forward with the development of Lot 4," and offered to answer questions. During deliberations Commissioner Holderness raised concerns about parking capacity relative to the number of units added in buildings 2 and 3. Community Development Director Dave Johnson said the plan "allowed for 1 ½ parking stalls per unit," and confirmed there remained interest in developing Lots 5 and 6 for senior and assisted living uses.
Commissioner Holderness moved to recommend approval; Commissioner Moniza seconded. The motion carried 5-0. The recommendation advances the plan toward final approvals and will allow the developer to proceed with design and permitting for Lot 4 and related public improvements.
