Sara Gronfeld, District Administrative Manager for the Soil and Water Conservation District, provided a department update to the commission covering multiple programs.
Gronfeld said annual reporting and grant reporting have been completed, Wetland Conservation Act staff training is upcoming, and the Feedlot Program annual review is scheduled. She noted One Watershed One Plan work: Bois de Sioux Mustinka plan project designs are complete, and Upper Minnesota River plan project development and engineering are underway. Gronfeld also flagged limited Natural Resources Conservation Service staffing and noted upcoming RCPP soil health grant opportunities.
