St. Clair board designates official paper, bank and legal counsel; authorizes electronic transfers

The board designated the Mankato Free Press for publications that must meet circulation requirements and the Janesville Journal "to cover all other items" as the district's official papers for 2026. By motion of Ben Stover, seconded by Connie Johns, the appointments were approved unanimously.
The board also designated St. Clair State Bank as the official bank for the year and, by motion of Sara Quast seconded by Karen Hauser, authorized the superintendent or the business manager to make electronic transfers during 2026. The board named the law firms Knutson, Flynn and Deans, P.A.; O’Meara, Leer, Wagner & Kohl, P.A.; and Rupp, Anderson, Squires, and Waldspurger, P.A. as the district’s legal counsel for the year and authorized only the board chair, the superintendent, the business manager, or the superintendent’s administrative assistant to contact legal counsel without prior board approval.
All of these motions "carried with all in favor." The meeting adjourned at 6:28 p.m., and minutes were submitted by Business Manager Kelly Zabel.
