Acting Chairperson Tim Collins called the organizational meeting of the St. Clair Board of Education to order at 6:03 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2026. The board elected its officers for the calendar year by acclamation: Ben Stover was nominated and elected chair; Connie Johns was nominated and elected vice chair; Mick Rasmussen was nominated and elected clerk; and Karen Hauser was nominated and elected treasurer.
The nominations were made from the board membership and each office had a single nominee. The approval of the agenda preceded the elections, with Karen Hauser moving, and Sara Quast seconding, a motion "to approve the agenda as presented." That motion and the subsequent officer elections "carried with all in favor." The election sets the leadership roster that will preside over regular and special board business through 2026.
The new officers will assume their roles immediately; the board then moved on to approve committee assignments and other annual housekeeping items later in the organizational meeting.
