Councilman Frank T. Forester asked to be present at neighborhood meetings to speak about proposed property-tax changes and stressed that property taxes fund "approximately 60% of the City’s budget, which almost covers the Public Safety Department." The council did not take formal action at the meeting but several members requested continued advocacy and information-sharing.
